And my oh my... Wouldn't you all like to have her cheering for you in that outfit at the middle? ;)

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 - Eli Polonsky

Today's show was essentially in two parts, with two different special features. My guest DJ in the first hour was generous WMBR fundraising contributor Bob Masalsky, making his third guest appearance on "Lost & Found". We thank Bob once again for supporting WMBR, and for picking a very interesting hour of music below:

01. Hawkwind - Assault And Battery
02. Roxy Music - Both Ends Burning
03. Pink Floyd - Lucifer Sam
04. Jimi Hendrix w/Brian Jones, Dave Mason, Mitch Mitchell - My Little One (Take 1) (unreleased)
05. The Beatles - Baby, You're A Rich Man
06. Rolling Stones - We Love You
07. Dirty Mac Band (John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Mitch Mitchell) - Yer Blues
08. Blind Faith - Can't Find My Way Home (electric)
09. Cream - Deserted Cities Of The Heart
10. Traffic - Rock And Roll Stew
11. Traffic - Paper Sun (full length version)
12. Jimi Hendrix - All Along The Watchtower (alternate version)
13. Jimi Hendrix w/Brian Jones, Dave Mason, Mitch Mitchell - My Little One (Take 2) (unreleased)
14. Stanley Clarke w/Jeff Beck & Carmine Appice - Rock And Roll Jelly

Beginning at about 1:15 PM, I was joined live in the studio by the band "Boris Garcia", for an impromptu live interview and musical performance. They're a nationally touring original roots-rock band from the Philadelphia area who were heavily influenced and inspired by the country-rock and folk/bluegrass bands of the late '60s and early '70s.

The following original songs were performed live:

15. Boris Garcia - Through The Window
16. Boris Garcia - Scootch
17. Boris Garcia - Holiday
18. Boris Garcia - The Other Side

They sounded great! Watch for them playing the festival circuit this summer!

19. New Riders Of The Purple Sage - I Don't Know You

Thanks for listening, see you next week!

Next Tuesday, the first hour will be programmed by guest DJ Bob Masalsky, a generous contributor who took up the airtime pledge offer during WMBR's fall fundraiser last year!

Then, in the second hour, I'm expecting a live in-studio interview and acoustic performance from a new hippie-country-rock band in the extended Grateful Dead family who call themselves "Boris Garcia". Their original music is reminiscent of the New Riders Of The Purple Sage, the Flying Burrito Brothers, and the latter years of The Byrds. Should be a fun show all around!

Thanks for listening!

I've Got a Jar of Dirt!

I've been thinking, and I can't believe I still haven't posted this, one of the funniest remixes I've ever seen, if not the funniest.
Ah, blessed be those who turn bloodthirtsty murdering pirates into... dirt-loving bloodthirtsty murdering singing pirates.

The Duck Corner - Jessica Biel

Fine I said I wasn't gonna post any more Duck Corners so soon, but c'mon... this woman makes you want to share her with everyone else!

The Duck Corner - Rihanna

I've been in 2009 for almost two months now, and so far it's going great.
As a new thing for this new year, I'll follow the example of other fellow bloggers and start posting pictures of celebrities (if that doesn't lift my views rate, what will?) I'm just calling it the Duck Corner because of these two pieces of Art (which are not mine, so they're awesome) - http://bob-rz.deviantart.com/art/peeking-duck-27468543 and http://betteo.deviantart.com/art/patito-38128589

So, February... always rainy... we could always use an umbrella...
Here you go, three for Rihanna:

I'll post more, of other celebrities, in time. Click them to enlarge, enjoy, fap, etc.
